Why?
Because of the dreadful, syrupy soundtrack “music” constantly droning on and on and on telling us how we should “feel” about any particular scene to the point where it literally ruined the film.
A real shame, as it seemed like a very interesting reading of the story.

Why do film makers do this? It seems to be getting worse and worse all the time.

The director, the production staff the actors and extras did a wonderful job…. I am a jane austen book lover and feel they did a wonderful job yes its not the emma thompson version its a modern day but these books have been done a thousand times with different settings and versions. Please see it before you pass judgment on it
