Rest in Peace: What a talented lady! I absolutely adored Natasha Richardson whenever I saw her in a movie – so beautiful, classy, talented. I was waiting for her to perform in a Jane Austen film adaptation. Too old to be a heroine, I think she would have made a perfect Lady Russel, Mrs. Gardiner, or Mrs. Allen, and my heart goes out to her family,
In this scene in The Parent Trap, Hallie meets her mother (Natasha)
She was known to be a cook. Here is a YouTube video of Natasha on Martha Stewart’s show five minutes into this clip:
Oh. I didn’t know she died until I saw this. How tragically sad. I did so adore her :(
Natasha Richardson was one of my favorite actresses and I’m saddened by her passing. I’ll probably pull out Nell this weekend and watch her and Liam in one of my favorite movies.
I’ve enjoyed watching her a great deal. My favorite Natasha Richardson movies are Nell and The White Countess. Just posted my review on them. What a tragic loss!
I think Parent Trap is the only movie I saw Natasha Richardson in, but I thought she was lovely, funny, warm, and totally likeable. You’re right, she would have been a marvelous addition to the Austen actor guild.
Natasha was in a great addaptation of ‘The Handmaid’s tale’. I read that she would pick and choose roles like this for their merit and not for the money. This is because she was a very socially concious actor. I am very shocked that she had her accident here in the Montreal region on the exact anniversary of the loss of my little nephew who died from a neural anomoly. I have just found out she was an extra in ‘The Charge of the Light Brigade’ directed by her father and starring her mother. I remember ‘Nell’ where she acted with her husband Liam.
i loved natasha richardson;
she played all her roles very well.
rest in peace.
